What students learn

At every level

Just starting

Growing

Scales, keys, intervals and chords, and hearing them by ear.

Advanced

Harmony and chord progressions, analysing the music students play, and writing their own.

How a lesson works

Live, one‑on‑one, every week

  1. 1

    Check in

We start with what the student practised and what they’d like to work on.

  2. 2

    Learn something new

One skill or piece at a time, explained clearly and practised together until it clicks.

  3. 3

    Leave with a plan

Written notes after every lesson, so everyone knows exactly what to practise.

What you need at home

  • A laptop or tablet with a camera and a stable internet connection
  • Paper and a pencil (we share examples on screen)
  • A keyboard or instrument helps, but isn’t required

FAQ

Questions parents ask

Something else on your mind? Write to us at info.interludemusic@gmail.com

Is music theory useful without an instrument?

Yes. Theory and ear training help with any music the student makes later, and they pair naturally with piano, voice or songwriting.

Does it count for homeschool records?

Many families log music theory as fine arts. Written notes after every lesson make record-keeping simple.

What age can my child start?

Any age that reads comfortably. Lessons are adapted to the student’s level.
