Online piano lessons · Ages 5 to adult

Online piano lessons, one‑on‑one and live

Weekly piano lessons on Zoom with the same teacher every week. Students learn to read music, build real technique and play pieces they love, from classical to pop and film music. Made for homeschool families, and just as good for after-school learners and adults.

What students learn

At every level

Just starting

Finding the notes, rhythm, a relaxed hand position and first songs, with music reading taught step by step from the very first lesson.

Growing

Scales, chords and hands together, sight-reading, and pieces in the styles the student enjoys most.

Advanced

Repertoire, expression and performance, playing by ear and accompanying, with repertoire chosen around each student’s goals.

How a lesson works

Live, one‑on‑one, every week

  1. 1

    Check in

We start with what the student practised and what they’d like to work on.

  2. 2

    Learn something new

One skill or piece at a time, explained clearly and practised together until it clicks.

  3. 3

    Leave with a plan

Written notes after every lesson, so everyone knows exactly what to practise.

What you need at home

  • A piano, or a keyboard with at least 61 full-size keys
  • A laptop or tablet with a camera, set to the side so the teacher can see hands and keys
  • A stable internet connection (the free Zoom app sounds best)

FAQ

Questions parents ask

Something else on your mind? Write to us at info.interludemusic@gmail.com

Do online piano lessons really work?

Yes. With the camera showing hands and keyboard, the teacher sees posture and technique clearly, and there’s no commute, so lessons fit easily into the week. The free trial lesson is the best way to see how it feels at home.

How young can my child start piano?

From age 5. For the youngest, a parent nearby for the first few lessons helps a lot.

Do we need a real piano?

No. A keyboard with at least 61 full-size keys is enough to start. We check your setup together in the free trial.

Do all students follow the same method book?

No. Each child gets a plan built around their level, goals and the music they love, and the way they learn best: by ear, by reading or by creating. We adjust it as they grow.
